To set mood not because I have no freakin' idea on how to insert music on my clip's just yet, nope
Artist's blabbity:
Yes, I ship these two together soooo bad right now, the ANGST man ;x;
*cough* That and as quoted by a fellow shipper:
"The two of them are such a product of their generation. All the talk of love and peace that had to be traded to deal with real world problems--Veronica needing financial stability and Benson needing to work for "the man" (which is probably one reason why he's so angry about working)"
Seriously, there's too much untapped depth and story yet to be revealed between these two. That Benson past episode can't come any sooner.
As for the clip, I leave YOU the viewer to formulate the prelude story of sorts leading up to the above scene.

who is veronica and what episode is she from? and what happened to Audrey lol

She was a planned character that was SUPPOSED to be in the episode "Mordecai and the Rigby's." She was supposed to be Benson's ex-girlfriend, but they cut the scene out, probably for timing. Apparently, Benson was once an aspiring musician, but Veronica left him for a businessman because she needed the financial stability. I wouldn't doubt it if Benson was once a musician, seeing as he can rock the drums SO. DAYUM. HARD. But, yeah. They might bring her back up, but I don't know. She was only in a few storyboards, and they didn't give her any colors. She was going to be voiced by Jeniffer Hale.

Oh wow, I know you've heard this alot but this is great. I really like all of your animations.
Do you make these in Flash, or scan them one frame at a time? Just curious!

I kiiinda have my own backstory to this: my original characters were in the old band with Benson as drummer and Veronica as the manager/roadie. Vida was the keytarist and childhood friend of Veronica, and with Vida's help she got Veronica to hook up with Benson in the first place. Veornica and Benson were the perfect couple. Then, as Vida would say, Veronica "grew up" and started fighting with Benson until she did the cliche of leaving him at a bus stop. This broke up the band as well as Benson's heart, and Benson and the band members each went their separate ways. Benson tells Vida he's okay about what happened, though he is still clearly torn up about it, while Vida believes she still owes Veronica a punch in the face.
