Description I wanted to design a demon that's a bit more nature themed, so here's where I ended up. The wanderer didn't always used to be a skeleton, but after a brush with death, their body decided to shed its skin and flesh.

The wanderer is a more calm person, who's a bit of a idiotic goof sometimes. They enjoy spending a lot of time alone, trying to understand who they are and the world around them. They have a compulsive need to please other people,
and are trying to get better at following their own desires, instead of blindly following what others command them to do.
They used to spend all their time idealizing others and trying to be perfect for them, but nowadays they're pretty fed up with other people in general.
If you talk to them, there's a chance they may become frusterated and say something rude, even if you're chatting about the most mudane thing in the world.

A few years ago, the wanderer used to be a part of the Candycorn family, and were bragged to be the best apple carameler in all the land. At a young age, the wanderer was given the chance to try apple carameling, and showed natural talent at it.
Their unwealthy family saw this as a chance to make a fortune, and was constantly pushing them into practicing, in hopes of winning first prize at the Apple Carameling Championship.

Their ill mother was the most eager to win the championship, and would monitor them extensively, making sure they were spending every possible second practicing their technique. The wanderer was constantly being told how the
fate of their family depended on them, which put them under a lot of pressure to be flawless. Whenever they made even the tiniest mistake, their mother would yell at them and make them start over.

Every year at the championship, the wanderer's ranking would rise, until eventually their hard work paid off, winning them first prize. Their family was ecstatic to be able to afford a nicer house, but the pressure upon their shoulders never lessened. Their mother would make them
take part in competitions country-wide, and her unsatisfaction in her child only strengthened, as did the uncurable sickness that was slowly killing her. Struggling under the weight of their mother's demands, they began to eat the magical happy mushrooms that would grow in the forest right next to their new house.

The wanderer's money and number of victories were piling high, and their stress levels were snowballing out of control. They began to consume barrels of mushrooms every day, but they soon found out eating that quantity of mushrooms
came with a serious cost.
Just as they had swallowed their 3,004th mushroom of the day, they soon collapsed, and had to be rushed to the hospital immediately. When they awoke, they were told that they had nearly died, and that the doctors had barely saved them.

When they returned home, their mother was beyond fuming, but her sickly body couldn't handle the intensity of the verbal pummeling she was laying on her child. She passed out and was taken to the hospital, but perished before they arrived.
The wanderer's mother was the driving force behind them becoming an apple carameler, and now that she was dead, they were at a loss of what to do now. They'd never really asked themself what they wanted to do with their life, and had never done anything other than trying to please their family.

They started to talk to the other people in their town, and they realized that people are supposed to make choices for themselves, and they became resentful of their family. The remaining Candycorns still expected them to be winning apple carameling competitions, to be this perfect little cash machine, and that's when they decided to leave. They didn't know who they were, or what purpose their life might have, but it was time to figure it out.

They packed up their bags and started traveling the world, and stopped talking to their family as often. The wanderer started trying out different hobbies, something to bring them happiness other than magical mushrooms. They also started
trying to make friends, people they could be silly with, and people who wanted to share their perspectives on the universe. The wanderer now enjoys seeing how other people live their lives, trying to figure out what brings them joy, in hopes of one day being happy themself.
