10 years of Bionicle vibes series

2008 gives me mixed feelings. The 'back in the light' aesthetic of Phantoka and Mistika with the original Toa Nuva back in the game, feels amazing. The universe coming around and evaluating the whole story so far once again gives the essence of a solid and epic world that is about to climax. My gears are a bit grinded when it comes to the design of the toys at this point + the collective shift in focus from world/island to heroes but in the greater picture it is still very much a fantastic year that i personally love.
