I didn't notice that before, but I thought the Ta-Koro in the movie still looked cool. That whole magma bridge is one of my favorite parts of Koro.

About 99.7 % chalk-brush, 0.2 % soft-brush and 0.1 % cloud-brush. The chalk brush is a standard photoshop brush and I use it with with a dual-brush enabled which gives it texture. This makes it a good allround brush. you can download the specific brush preset from

This is a phenomenal piece of your work, And. It shows your understanding of color, of perspective, of painting, of concept art....well done. This may be my favorite of yours yet.Β

Actually ta-koro was never situated inside the volcano, but rather the main offshoot of magma flow. This is a common missconception. Kini-nui was closer to the volcano than any of the villages. However this is a brilliant piece of work and really captures the mystery and atmosphere of the Island at the time.
