Well my friends and gave these a try, so I figured what the hell. Here are, in my opinion, the highs and lows of the Total Drama Series. And since this meme does have the word "Controversy" in it, I decided to throw caution to the wind and give a little more reasoning in my choices. You're free to agree or disagree with my views, it's your right, but if you try to flame me or anything of the like, be warned, I WILL BURN YOUR ASS! Now let's get started! Oh, and take notice of each contestants reaction of being on this list! XD

1. Favorite Character: Courtney! Unless you don't know me very well, this one should be pretty obvious. I've loved this character since the first season and not just for the reason I like smart, fiery Latina girls. X3 What really got me into her was the fact I saw a little bit of myself in her initial character. Like her, I used to be all about the rules and not getting in trouble. Sure I didn't have have everything I'd do with my life planned out like she would, but I was still pretty strict in following rules and stuff. Eventually though I met some great friends who taught me it wasn't the end of the world if I let myself loosen up and have some fun. Seeing her change into a more carefree personality was really refreshing since I know how relieving it is to just be a kid and not be such a stickler for the rules. Yeah, she does have flaws, I won't deny she has a temper, but I like her in spite of that. And as her characterization in TDI and TDWT showed, she's a very emotional person and sometimes that can interfere with her logic.

2. Despised Character: Ugh...Beth! This was a 3 way tie between her and Duncan and Gwen, but Beth was the first to really crease me. At first, I didn't mind her. She wasn't exactly my favorite camper in the first season, she was pretty boring and her alliance with Heather never really caught my interest, but I thought she was pretty harmless. However in TDA they made this girl a total and utter bitch! Worse than Heather! Worse than Blaineley! She started off simple enough, but then out of no where she gets this attitude with everyone, taking the 'independence' she got from leaving Heather to a level that bordered on arrogance. Sure, her being confident is one thing, but her actions when Courtney first arrived really pissed me off. She tried to vote off Courtney simply because she brought up how the team did literally nothing to win challenges (that Gwen didn't throw for them), attempted to vote off her boyfriend that she admitted was for no other reason than to spite her, and lied about joining her in an alliance just to swipe her PDA. What makes it worse is that they tried to make her the 'hero' of this season. When I compare all the things she and Courtney, the 'villain', did this season, it really seemed like Beth was just conning everyone into trusting her while she planned to take the money when no one was looking. Sneaky little bitch. DX

3. Favorite Season: TDI. This introduced us to all the characters we'd learn to love and, in all but a few cases, the original is always the better one.

4. Despised Season: TDA. This season was just painful. And I've had my legs sliced open twice, 3 sets of stitches in my face since early childhood, and had all four of my wisdom teeth sawed and yanked in pieces out of my mouth. The biggest and sole gripe out of this season I had was the writing. Normally having several writers can help a show, rarely can one man do it alone, but having so many writers was what sank this thing. No one seemed to know where they're were going with this. They kept dropping hints upon hints, that Harold and Heather would get into an alliance, that Trent and Gwen would have go through this huge trial that lasted the season, and that Justin would be the antagonist. And none of them went anywhere! Look, I'm a huge fan of fiction, particularly of the amount of work that goes into a script. That's why a lot of my friends here's are writers, I appreciate and respect all the time and hard work that goes into a script. But this? I feel like story was tacked together and overall lazy. I've read a ton of stories from fans that followed better story structure then this season. But this is getting a little long, so moving on.

5. Most Overrated Character: Gwen. I see pictures and stories of her everywhere and for a while, I could understand it. She was a goth and those types of characters are pretty popular. But off all the goths I've seen in the majority of my 21 year old life, I have never seen a goth as cold, snobbish, or mean spirited as Gwen! Don't get me wrong, I liked her in TDI, she wasn't my favorite, but I didn't hate her. But then I noticed that whenever someone tried to even talk with her, she never opened up warmly, but acted like they just stepped on her cat or something. It really bugged me at how at the end of the first season, she confessed at how annoying most of the other campers were, even after making friends with a vast majority of them and barely coming into contact with the few she didn't. What the hell did they do to her? Did Geoff steal your wallet? Did Katie and Sadie bash your favorite book series on their shared blog? Did Lindsay put pink dye in your shampoo? Then in TDA she broke up with Trent without doing the one thing all couples know to do when they have trouble, COMMUNICATE! And then of course there's the whole thing with Duncan in TDWT, but I'll get to that. And after all she's said and done on the show, no one calls her out on it for more than a single episode and that just irks me. Ugh.

6: Most Underrated Character: Eva. Eva is probably one of my favorite characters in this series. So much so that I write a comic with co-staring her. She's the opposite of what you'd expect from a girl. She's reserved, doesn't show more emotion than she has to, is physically tougher than the girls (and probably most of the guys), and is completely confident in her abilities, never once doubting herself. However, despite all this, we never really get a chance to see her. We know she's not an evil monster like the rest of the cast think she is, like feeling remorse for blaming her teammates for stealing her MP3 or making friends with, of all people, Izzy and Noah and actually getting along with them. I really hope we see more of her in later seasons, otherwise it'd be such a waste of potential.

7. Favorite Romance: Tyler and Lindsay. In TDI/A this romance never interested me. It didn't have a lot of focus and most thought Tyler was too boring and that Lindsay would eventually forget about him or even cheat on him. Thankfully none of that happened and these two made a really great couple in WT. While neither of them are either bright nor stable on their feet, these two love each other in spite of that fact and never seem to have any trouble being with each other since they're both pretty easy to read emotionally. And since DxC is gone, along with TxG, I hate DxG with a fiery passion (more on that), and GxB can at times be even too sweet for me, these two are probably my fav couple. And yeah, I would have put Sierra and Cody here, but until I actually see Cody initiate a kiss, I don't know if they really count or not.

8. Most Despised Couple: Duncan and Gwen, obviously. I never minded the pairing that much UNTIL WT. This just killed it for me. And to those who know me, I'm pretty bitter about these two, but you don't really know why. I've BEEN where Courtney's been and it hurts. A LOT! To have the person you love cheat on you is not pleasant for anyone. And if that wasn't bad enough, the fact that Duncan doesn't feel the least bit sorry and that Gwen didn't even try to apologize just makes this more disgusting. What also kills me is how fans of the couple actually try to defend their actions, acting like its some big romantic drama that the 'heroes' must overcome. My question to these people: Are you serious? These two KNEW what they were doing was wrong, so much that Gwen freely admitted to it in the Confessional, but said she'd only tell if it happened "again", and Duncan threatened Tyler several times on what would happen if he told anyone. If these two were "in love" or "destined" for each other, they wouldn't have had to sneak around their best friends back or threaten violence on people to keep it quiet. They would have just gotten together. It'd have been less painful and embarrassing to break someone's heart on international television. ...Sorry. Got a little passionate there. Like I said, this example hits home for me. Again, moving on.

9. Favorite Song: Her Real Name Isn't Blaineley. I loved this song. It was fast, clever, had a great tune and melody, and showed how protective Geoff is of Bridgette. Seriously, this was both a Crowning Moment/Music of Awesome for Geoff.

10: Despised Song: A Chinese Lesson. This song is so...bland. It's not even really singing. It's just them speaking words to music without any inflection or emotion behind it. It's like they're all stoned or traumatized by something behind the camera.

11: Favorite Episode: Picnic at Hanging Rock. This was a tough one at first, but then I remembered this scene. Ah yeah, vengeance is sweet. Even in the sweltering heat of Australia!

12. Despised Episode: Chinese Fake-Out. This episode seriously pissed me off, mostly because it was such a cop out. That was the only way they could get rid of Courtney? Blaineley I understand, like said, she's a really annoying chick, but why would half of the remaining cast vote for Courtney? I think the reason is that if she stayed, there probably wouldn't have been anything from stopping her from winning and, as we all know, reaching the finals in one season make your chances of winning the next one go WAY down. Still, it's a complete load. Thanks for suddenly being more of a tight ass, Chris.
