Your a beautiful lady with a gorgeous body. You have no reason to be self conscious. This is nice image of you as a belly dancer. I am of the opinion that belly dancers should have bellies.

I am just starting my dancing. I am not in a class but I do have a DVD. But My point is I am very much like you, and It makes me feel better that You (People) can look beautiful and elegant with whatever the bodyshape is.

WOOT! You are SOOOOO awesome! I'm learning bellydance, too, and---for a short girl with a chubby physique and stretch marks---it's kind of interesting. I may not be model-thin, but I LURVE to dance! ^^

Anyone who can dress up and show off a little skin, no matter what his or her size, is brave in my book. And I STILL want to join a troupe when I get older.

I love the way you look like you're coming out of the shadows, and the position of your hands. And well, with your body, I think you're beautiful, but do whatever makes YOU happy. We have this sort of double standard where on one hand people think anything that's not a size 4 is fat, but when you go on a diet everyone is like Zee Oh Em Gee, you gonna be anorexic! *shrug*. I think it's kind of weird.

It's depressing that now even in bellydance, women are expected to all be skinny and a lovely-looking woman like you (with a perfectly normal body!) is made to feel ashamed.
Thank you for adding this portrait to DA. It's beautiful, and nice to know there are other real women/bellydancers on here.
