Description
This is the second in a series of gothic style fairies called "Whitby Abbey Faeries" commissioned by UK sculpture manufacturers Nemesis Now.The idea for this fairy was that her wings should look lace like. There are many heart designs incorporated in the image - from the designs on her gloves to the shape made between the two wings. I'll leave it to you to spot the rest
Another artwork in this set can be seen here [link] They are currently being made into sculptures by Nemesis Now. The range will also be featured soon on other products also - I'll post detail when they are available.

She makes me think of my lacewings. They're called that because their wings are see-through with lacy thingummies. (Dunno what you actually call them)

i love your art work i really like this one though even though she is sad from the loss of her love (i think thats what happend anyways since shes in a grave yard on top of a tume stone i think) but its really very nice i love the cross she's holding her wings and the tattoo on her arm its all very nice ^.^

This is absolutely gorgeous! The only thing I can comment on is the mouth is very expressionless. The eyes are full of emotion, so the mouth sort of off-sets it. Either way, I love this piece.
