Anne, ye have the name of a pirater cap'n and the heart of one, too. Ye've captured the essesnce of pirate well here, me pretty. I particularly like the fact that ye've used "The MacKay" style of tricorn for the blaggard's hat, 'tis me favourite. I love the other version ye've done of this as well. As fer the rest of ye scallywags, learn to speak like a pirate, proper an' celebrate Speak Like A Pirate Day on September 19th... yarrrr... ye best start believing in pirates ye dogs, 'cause I am one....

i think one of the best details you included was the hand-sewn eyepatch. the way a pirates clothing and accessories was made is often neglected in the artwork, leaving the pieces looking, well, store-bought, if that's possible. i love that the eyepatch especially looks like someone cut pieces of fabric out by hand and then stitched them together as well as they could. excellent. really enjoy the original of this piece as well.
