Line art byThis is a gift to a new friend of mine. Who's administer Gakupo on a Gakupo page. XD Of course. He was feeling really down so I wanted to do something for him.
I started to draw something but I kept on getting frustrated. I started on my own line are for something else. Got too frustrated so I had to quite.
I thought "Hey why not. I've got tons of Gakupo lineart already, why not use one."
So this is for you buddy.
Anyways, I'm falling back on submissions. And I missed my second favorite vocaloid's birthday. It's a good thing I started a fan club for him. Happy Belated Birthday Gakupo.
Happy Early Birthday to Miku.

Your coloring is getting much better! I can't give you much on originality because the lineart's not yours XD but I'll jump into it.
The hair shading is really nice. The highlights are nice and bright, so it's eye catching. The shading is soft and light, matching the rest of the shading on the piece.
However you're still blurring things a bit too much, especially on the skin. Also try using different colors for the skin, the skin color you usually use looks almost off-white and greyish, and just using one tone for skin shading makes it look flat. Try using reds and oranges as well as browns to make it pop more. (for nice shading techniques, study up a little on color theory to learn what colors go well together. This can be applied with shading.)
The clothes as well is blended WAY too much. Try leaving some edges sharper around the folds, and if there's too much, your eraser is your friend too and try using that for neater effects.
Also it looks like he had teeth at the top of his mouth you colored in pink XD
With eyes too don't be afraid to try different tools and tones. Adding more shading can make eyes look deeper and more detailed.
And for hair adding a gradient before you shade can make the end result look more detailed as well.
