This is how I want to remember Kyoto when I was there in the winter of 2010-11. This photo was taken on the steps of the Kiyomizudera temple ([link] ).

We couldn't have been blessed with a better sunset. It was spectacular to see Kyoto in the golden light, and eventually swallowed by the dark.
