Canon Zuko had no scar till 13, and this is an AU Zuko.
Obviously I'm not the artist, but my guess is that it's just like most AUs. No firebending? No scar.

Truthfully, although I'm glad that Zuko and Katara kissed, all that's in my mind is, "I feel bad that Zuko lost his PSP." Ha ha!
