Description Yes, this picture looks like this: fav.me/daxyjob , because there was at first just a nameless elf, then I realized that it was Miriel because with embroidery, but there from the very first sketch appeared colors for dark hair, and how I then tried to change it, it was easier to start again, and that picture became Melian, though with embroidery the Miriel attribute.

On the back of the chair - salamanders, spirits of fire, rising in a flame. In her hand is an apple - Yes, I'm still sure that Miriel was poisoned by the white witch Indis in the desire to seize power, and Tolkien wrote his opus to rehabilitate the perpetrators and demonize the resistance to them.
Did you know that Victor Hugo in "Les Miserables" has the Bishop Myriel and he has a servant Maglaur (I could be wrong to French writing)?

and the poem which I never finished from the time when I was pregnant:
Беременность, звуки, пришедше извне, почти голоса, только эхом не вторит
сознание. Канут. Причастность луне, безмолвно растущей, и лошади Трои
куда-то бредущей в руках ахеян,
безмолвно. Беременность, зауки пришедше...

I love the two drawings, their similarities and their subtle differences in their background, pose and the general mood. The colour scheme is also very hard to pull off, but you did it nicely and created a brightness that suits Miriel, with her silver hair uncommon among the Noldor!

It's lovely. It has the delicacy of a Chinese painting and Miriel looks so fragile and ephemeral. I love the salamanders, and the birds!
But I also hold to the canon view of Indis. The personal headcanon that she poisoned Miriel to get to Finwe is something you're entitled to, but it's hard to hold when there's no evidence in canon to support it.

Thank you very much for your kind words! But in the text there is evidence, much evidence. Starting from the history of the awakening of the elves, ending the history of the spread of the power of Vaniаr on people. I began to list some examples: the song of Indis or the character of Galadriel, but came from the exam my daughter, I digress, now that I have returned, I see that it is not necessary. I already wrote about this on DA, and I have the appropriate analysis of the texts of Tolkien, but I still continue to work on it. But I seriously think that еverything written by Tolkien, would have one common title: "the Story of how Vaniаr, placing their women, seized power over the elves and men, and how arose the resistance of the decent elves". I understand that I cause great displeasure, but for me it is so.

I think it is really stretching the interpretation, but everyone is entitled to their own headcanons. I love the Vanyar, though they are not as interesting as the crafty, clever and ambitious Noldor. The song of Indis was for me a song of joy and her love for Finwe. I don't love Galadriel, but her character is above all Noldorin, in her pride and love of power, not Vanyarin in nature. Your interpretation is unusual and interesting, though.

Thank you for your reply and for your attitude to my interpretations! But can I still write: for my character Galadriel says about the character of her grandmother. Noldor easy to relate to power, for them has the value of truth and justice, Maedhros easily given the crown. Then the same will do Elrond, who for some time was in the care of the Noldor. That the Noldor and those who have the blood of Vaniar, relate differently to authority, it is clear even from the fact that Tolkien wrote, with all its bias. But thanks again for your respectful attitude!

Oh wow, the colours are absolutely stunning in this one! The delicacy of the colours and natural feel of the pose is lovely. And I just love the little details like the flowers and birds. Also, that red fruit in her hand is really striking! Wonderful job dear! I think this one is one of my recent favourites!
