Something random made for fun and practise. I started working on it about half year a go, canvas size was smaller so it wasn't so much time consuming, PS7 + wacom tablet. Finnally in sunday evening I found some time to finish it. Now I have to go back working on comic and commissions, so much work to do >.<Photo reference [link] used from ~dani-stock

You have created yet another beautiful artwork. There is so much very fine detail in your art. The wood scroll work on the harp, the fabric the model is sitting on, the water at the edge of the dress, the very ornate dress embroidery, and the blue/white scarf in the hair.

i know this might be a stupid question... But how do her shoes stay on? i was browsing for outfit/ hair types on some pics and this one came up. i'm glad it did, because it's downright gorgeous!! In fact, i was driven to actually gawk at it and take in the details.. And that's when i saw the shoes. Lol. Not like it takes away from the epic proportions in which this art has made my day, because it really put a big smile on my face to see such talent.

i am working in a book named jade and the angelical harp so your picture forgotten melody is perfect for the front cover of my book can i use it i dont know much of copyright.

i just ran across your comment and figured I'd add something. The artist has to allow you to use the image. If this happens, generally the artist is paid in some way, either a lump sum front, or a percentage of each book sold. If you have a publisher, the publisher has to agree to use the image, and then the artist has to agree to give the publisher's the right to publish exclusively. Mostly its a huge hassle...

That would explain why the covers of teen books often look the same. Sure, they're beautiful, but they all seem to be photomanips of a particular style. It's the publishes.

Yep. Publishers sometimes don't even care if the cover has a thing to do with the book. I guess they just go with what trends well.
