Via your fave on my pic I came to your gallery for a nosey and not being a great fan of train pics looked to see what other stuff was here and this was the first non train pic to grab my attention.

Hdr is a tricky thing to get right it seems and unfortunately this one hasn't quite gone as well as it might have. The colours to be honest are all that is wrong and in particular that heavy blue saturation.
I rarely add comments of a critical nature without first seeing if I can offer a solution and so I have had a play in photoshop with this and using nothing more than the lasso tool( feathered usually) , hue/saturation and brightness contrast have managed to do a modified version that I think looks more natural.

If you wish to see it just drop me a note and I will upload it to a folder in my gallery for you to download.

Should be in your email inbox by now. Added another modified image but sent the noisy version so have adjusted and will send a second email.

Superb work [link]

I would appreciate a tutorial of what you actually did on the tender first shot.

Ok let's first of all get back on track ( pun intended ) as this is where I added a critique and mentioned the first modification of the hdr above I would of course like to know first off what you thought of that one as you haven't mentioned it at all .

Of course "Brewer street" is a lot better, far more natural colours and I now see what you meant by the excessive blue of the original.

But you excelled yourself with "tender" and I was so impressed the original critique slipped my mind.

Hi again, my mistake too as I hadn't spotted that you'd uploaded the new version already .

Re the tender , because I never wrote down step by step moves on the mod of it I couldn't repeat it exactly so I had to have another go and the result is slightly different and if anything a bit more polished as I took my time and I wrote down what I did as I went along

Now you'd better have photoshop ! if you have let me know and I'll type out an email with step by step guidance so you can at least get an idea of though there is always going to be slight differences because of the variables in selecting areas to work on.

I have photoshop 3 & 4, so no problem there.

Appreciate the time and effort you are going to for me.
