Name: Nia
Age: 18
Monster Type: Naga
Bio: Nia (short for Drakonia) is a Naga so she’s half snake, half human. She’s Indian has the tail of an Indian Cobra. Unlike many of her monster friends, Nia does die and has the same lifespan as the average human.
Personality: Nia is very shy and intelligent. She speaks American Sign Language, Hindi Sign Language, and her native tongue of the Indian Cobra. Although she understands and can sign English and Hindi, she has a forked tongue and fangs that for some reason can only allow her to speak snake. She is self-conscious because of this and therefore learned sign language and often doesn’t smile with her teeth showing. When enraged or feels threatened her fangs elongate and begin to drip poison and her pupils turn into slits. When she was little she scared her classmates with this “’trick” so she has learned to be very emotionally guarded and introverted. She gets really ashamed when she lets her tamper get the best of her. This only happens if someone comes after those who are close to her and often she doesn’t stick up for herself even though she knows she could scare the bullies into stopping quite easily. She still has fun and loves to eat and sings really well (though she tends to do this alone). Her home life is crazy- supportive and Nia loves her little sister with all her heart and takes her customs of both being a Naga and her religion seriously.
Appearance: Like I said half snake with the hidden defense mechanism and really long beautiful hair. She has emerald green eyes and loves to wear jewelry and has a ring for everyone in her family. She’s taller than most girls when standing comfortably on her tail but not any taller than 5’9. She has scales that slowly intensify when you move past the belly into her snake form.
