Full Description:
The Type 93, or the M93 Ripper, is a weapon made as a result of the United States military requesting a new weapons system that can accept nearly any pistol caliber currently available while still being able to provide rifle-level accuracy. L&S Armaments, based in North Carolina, had submitted their prototype design and, despite their competition, won the contract. This led to the Type 93 series of weapons that came in numerous configurations in terms of barrel length, caliber, stocks, and even rates of fire. The particular model here is considered the police model, chambered for .40 S&W, but there are many other calibers available for both the military and civilian markets.
