Ingvain is the fourth daughter of Ingyë. (q. ing "chief, first” + bain "beautiful, fair-haired") Born after the settling of Valmar, the identity of her father is a closely guard secret just like her sister Indis' father. She of all Ingyë's daughters is most like her in that she takes great pleasure in the company of ellyth and ellyn, and though yet unmarried she has two daughters. On the fathers, she has remained silent though many have speculated.
