are you part of the 10% of the population that lives a cushioned life or the 90% of the population in poverty living in the favellas that have to sell drugs to stay alive?

haha I saw this thing on rio called "gangs of rio" and I really love the entire city now basically it's a war torn drug metropolis

Have you ever been to Rio? No you haven't, or you wouldn't spew such BS?! Nobody likes a troll, so either give legitimate reasons as to why it upsets you other than a stupid documentary (which I also saw -- a month AFTER having visited the city) you may have seen on the Al Gore channel.

Every large city has crime and poverty: that's life! And Rio's beaches, including Leblon featured in this gorgeous photo, are free for all people of all socioeconomic backgrounds. Rio de Janeiro has one of the largest middle class populations in Latin America, and it's growing. Most of those below the poverty line are hard working people who strive to make an honest living so that they're children have the bright future that is available to them now. In fact, the standard of living there will very soon be higher than that of the US.

I was down there this last October. In fact, I went to visit and stay with a fellow deviant, and she personally took me on a walking tour of TWO "Favelas". I lived to tell the tale, and I see more drugs sold in front of the poshest hotels in Miami Beach. There were children playing after-school soccer in the public parks that have been set up there without a hint of fear that they would be killed in a gang war. Hell, I would happily live in one of these favelas -- and I am a privileged American!

So please do a little research before sounding like a in elitist-socialist ignoramous fueled by your own petty jealousies.

THIS! A MILLION TIMES THIS! On the bright side, the fact that people like will probably never come to Rio and never as much as educate themselves about it or have any interest on it beyond the villifying clichΓ©s just makes this town even more Wonderful than it already is. See ya here in August!

Wonderful! Do you mind if I ask, how did you get the atmosphere like this? It looks like you were working with a very bright sun, but everything looks so muted and dark... yet at the same time you've maintained so much clarity in the textures and details of the piece... if that makes any sense. Do you use filters when you shoot, or is it achieved through post processing?
Thanks, stunning piece.
