Back when I first made this? A few hours. Nowadays I animate in a different style/manner, but I'd guess that I could knock out something like this in an hour and a bit.

well...your animations remind me of my times when i was like 10 or 12 years old and i was playing with games like these.. it really brought me beautiful memries, thankyou yeas i want to start animation since most of my friends on deviantart have made there own animations .. but i don't have photoshop! u seem to be very professional since u make these animations in hours! most of my friends here make it in month using the photoshop

For your most basic first step, you can download unFreez for free, and then just move around sprites in something like Paint, saving gif frames, and then simply compiling them in unFreez. It's really simple and tedious, but it's a good starting point.

For your first steps, don't use photoshop animation (unFreez is all you need). After you're comfortable with general composition of animations, you could move onto photoshop, and then potentially flash.

it only accepts pictures that are GIF i have paint and sketchbook pro4 which makes pictures the type of TIF and PNG do u know what r the programs that u use to make pictures that r GIF types?

In paint, you can go File > Save As, and then choose your file type as gif. Alternatively, you could make the images in whatever format you want, and then convert them using a ____ (Whatever format you chose) to .gif converter. It's a simple google away.

Thanks. The quality can be increased I've found by converting files into gifs instead of making gifs first increases quality.

I realize that the actual animation could be worked on, thanks for the critique.

I think you can prepare the sprites with .png(s) first then convert them to .gif(s) after you're done animating them. xD and no problem, I'm studying animation myself, but before that, I didn't even know about the twelve principles of animation. you might want to check that out.
