Thank you very much, I tried it and it is great !

By cons just a question: how do you get to color the small parts of the dragon, such as antennas SilkWing ?

I can not do it because when I zoom it becomes blurry...

Sure thing!  So, you just have to use a higher res base for it.  like from LunarNightmares981 that link will take you to her page, all her bases are high quality and work really well with sketchbook.

I followed what you said but it gives this: vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/cr…

(the lines seem to fade, is this normal?)

thats not what i sent you, the links arnt the same.  So if you click and follow the link to the users profile, and look though their linearts you can download the one you want, save it to where you will remember it is, and then open Sketchbook, go to file, and click open.  From there it will take you to your files and you can go back to where you saved the lineart, open it in autodesk, and then use it.  Your looking for the silkwing yes?  Here is the silkwing lineart: Wings of Fire: SilkWing Free to Use Lineart!

Thanks for all this information.

Here's what I did (taking the Silkwing model from LunarNightmares) :

vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/fi… ? cb = 20180521153153 & path-prefix = en

Overall it is pretty good, although I did not finish it completely but I could not color the horns of SilkWing properly.

mmm, you'll get the hang of it, its a new program and they always have learning curves.  Keep up the good work, and practice, and try new stuff.  Also, there are some pretty good tutorials if you searh them on youtube for auto desk.

I will take a look

Just one last question: how did you color without damaging the features of the dragon's paws or horns? Because when I zoom in on the image, it "flushes" at the same time.

are you coloring under the lineart layer?

Nymphea92 In reply to Isanacko [2018-05-22 19:19:41 +0000 UTC]

Uh no, but when I create different layers I can not color the dragon if it's not the main layer

okay, i would suggest looking up some tutorials on how to use sketchbook, and how to download files and open them in programs, because what i believe is happening is you might be downloading the non-transparent png by accident and that will take away the ability to draw underneath of it.

Call her Astilbe! It's one of my favourite kinds of flowers and it looks beautiful in pink! I'm sure that silkwings would also be named after flowers, since butterflies eat nectar and would spend a lot of time around flowers. For more ideas, just search up kinds of pink flowers and pick a name you like

Thanks for the suggestion!  I decided to call her Orchid after the flower, and the mantis! <3 one of my other OCs Frangipani is actually named after a flower as well, lol so im really happy to have a bit of a theme going with them!

Considering Silkwings are based on and named after different kinds of butterflies and moths, I looked for pink ones that exist and I think elephant hawk moth look the most similar to her, for a name idea.
