I was reminded of this old OLD OLLLLDDDD story when my two neighbor siblings I was babysitting actually DID this. Multiple times. Until George got kicked in the head. Awesome.

Anyways I thought this dialogue heavy story up in eighth/ninth grade- an epic of tales about four high school friends- two girls two boys. One gets cancer and the rest promptly shave their heads. Then realize, when their cancer friend gets sicker and is swept off to the hospital, that their actions really didn't do much.
The story basically consists of the three healthy friends discussing things from pizza toppings to the meaning of life while their hospital-stuck friend occasionally will send them text messages and e-mails but never actually makes an appearance in the story.

Anyways it gets sad, and then it gets happy from time to time. Bad things happen, and sometimes good things happen like high five-ing feet on swing sets.

Half way through inking this picture I remembered a relative of mine actually HAS cancer right now- so I doubt i'll draw more pictures of these guys for a while because it weird'd me out how accidently personal this was. :S
