Description When I was little I used to wonder what the hell one would make a white color pencil for... And there you go, mystery solved So much fun and veeery tricky, since your brain will always try to make you draw harder in darker places, which is just the opposite of what you should be doing.
This one will probably end up framed in our sleeping room!

Ah, beautiful drawing - love the lighting and the texture! ^^
Ha, I myself actually almost prefer drawing on black paper to white paper (I'm recently getting back into traditional art again after a long break from it), but I tend to use coloured pencils rather than just the white (  ,   ) - I like the look this gives for your piece though so you make me curious to try this at some point.

Love the poses of the wolves and the fur detail, and how it's detailed overall but still retains a messy, rustic feel that's very nice!

My plans exactly! Your art is gorgeous! I need to have a try with colored pencils, once I learn to master them a bit more, now I'm at the watercolor and cintiq stage xD

Aww, thankyou!
Ha, nice - I actually haven't used coloured pencils on a white background in... so many years, so I'm actually nervous about doing it "the normal way" on white paper for my next animal portrait (my grandmother's collie/cocker spaniel mix, Peppa).
As for me, DAMN, watercolours HATE me. And it is mutual.
I love the art others can make with them, but I never got on with paints, NEVER. I think my last try several years ago may even have left me scarred, haha.
Maybe one day I'll have another go with them... Though I don't foresee it ending well. I really look up to anyone that can use them well, like yourself - to me, it's like something unattainable I'll never be able to do - like watching a bird fly.

Personally, I think I'll stick to my 10 year old and bought off ebay wacom together with GIMP, and either coloured pencil or ballpoint pen for traditional art.

All the best in your future are experiments though! You have an awesome and beautiful style!

Haha well watercolors ARE difficult to handle! Especially when you're a digital artist and you're "spoiled" by the "erase" or "Ctrl+Z" option ;D watercolors never forgive! But that's also the fun part, they're totally unpredictable and the outcome is a guessing game, which sometimes turns out better than expected!
I remember I hated painting when I was a kid, all because of having to wait for them to dry, so all my paintings were full of mixed colors (how I remember trying to draw a black outline on the still wet yellow sun!!). I re-discovered painting a couple of years ago, when I stumbled upon some absolutely stunning art and thought "hell, this can't be that difficlut!" So yea, give yourself space and everything comes in time. If it doesn't come out the way you want, practice, but don't force it - we've all been through this

thank you for all the kind words! ^^

Ha, seems the way - though coloured pencils don't erase well and aren't exactly forgiving, and then there's also ballpoint pen where one mistake ruins the whole drawing. On a par with paint I think, in that respect...

Ha, that is an interesting take on it actually. (though I suspect in my case it would likely turn out worse than expected more often)

It's great how you rediscovered it though as you're now making beautiful things with it. <3
I think in my case though perhaps a generalised lack of overall artistic ability, regardless of medium, probably doesn't help.
Though perhaps some day if I ever get to the bottom of my to-do list and have some time to kill, I may give it a go and see if I can teach myself anything at all about how to use paint. :'D
