WB take notwithstanding, "Herbert West- ReAnimator " was a GORY story. A SORRY gory story.
West's main problem while he was still at least partly sane, was that his serum had to be used as soon as possible after the subject's death, even if that meant he had to kill the subject himself !

As I try to hate this, for putting a horror-movie spin on my childhood... I find myself giggling creepily to myself, making everyone stare at me strangely; because it puts a Looney Toons spin on my favorite horror movie. This is INSANELY FUNNY and EPICALLY AMAZING!

Besides Dr. Victor Frankenstein, there was also Charles Dexter Ward and Herbert West.(reanimations of the former never had to eat or drink and never aged, and the ones of the latter were mindless for the most part: in both cases, one of the monsters carried out revenge against his resurrector)

While I have never seen ReAnimator the wordplay you used is brilliant and I love Looney Tunes. The sight of zombie Daffy walking around with that green tongue hanging out is hillarious!
