I'm NOT amused!!! I'm crying!!! I really hope for Marvel that they have a good reason for replacing Thor and I also hope that they are NOT gonna replace him forever!!!
I wouldn't be this mad if they would redescribe their news. It seems they are not gonna make a story about the original Thor anymore and that's what makes me very very sad. Why are they doing this? They say they want to address the female adience .... hello??? I AM a female and I DON'T LIKE IT!
The new Thor looks awesome and she seems very very cool but I'm not happy with their sayings about Thor being unworthy. He is NOT unworthy! How can you treat him and his fans like that? I really don't understand.
I'm curious about the new Thor but what they are doing with the original Thor is not right! Sorry, I don't accept that!

I agree with what you said so much. And the comics have gotten worse over at Marvel. >.< The original Thor is awesome and doesn't have "WOMAN POWER" shoved down reader's throats. Thor wasn't about man power. He was mostly about fighting evil-doers. OnO

I haven't followed the comics for a while. She must be a pretty cool Thor but it still felt so forced to me that I had troubles getting into it. >.<' As you said it feels like they have to show how many power a woman has.

Same here. Hopefully he will be worthy again. I couldn't read the comics with her but I want to. Let's see if I can get used to her. For now she seems pretty cool but noone is better than Thor (for me)

A female Thor isn't really the best thing for what they're trying to promote. Β I like seeing action movies with a bunch of dudes fighting and yelling and stuff. Β That's sorta the reason I go see them...
If it were temporary, I think it'd be okay. Β Maybe Loki's magic goes awry and turns the Avengers into girls for a while or something? Β I don't think this is a good move for Marvel. Β

I'm curious who she is and what happens to Asgard. But why are they treating Thor like trash? I mean they are taking his name away and give it to a woman who noone knows?! Thor isn't a title it is his name! That's what I don't like. Thor is my one and only favourite character of all and it hurts very bad to hear this.
And you are right. Yesterday I watched Thor 2 again and I couldn't imagine how a woman can be so funny during a fight. I mean there is always something thrown against his head and he just turns around and throw his hammer back. I don't think it's the same when Thor is a woman.

(To be perfectly honest, I partially watch the Marvel movies because Thor and Loki and Cap are really attractive...)
Plus, think of the time period. Back in Thor's realm of Asgard, they're in a viking-time-ish world where women were protected, not sent to battle. Β It's kinda a slap in the face to history. I know Sif is a female warrior, but you've seen how the Warriors Three keep close and try to help her out.Β

that's true that women were protected but here Odin is not a normal viking he is the god of the vikings like Thor and so their women are not ordinary women. Most of them are valkyries who are great fighters so the new Thor has to be one of them because otherwise it would be really a slap in the face if she is just a normal human being getting the power of Thor.
If Loki is becoming a girl it would be as bad as Thor becoming a girl because Loki can turn into a girl but I know what you mean there are to many Loki fans who are just watching The Avengers for seeing Tom Hiddleston ;3

It confuses me on so many levels, this concept of a female Thor. I mean, are they going to follow the same storyline or what? Is everyone in the Marvel series of movies being genderbent as well? Β And, yeah, that makes sense. The Valkeries are trained warriors. Even if Lady Thor IS a Valkerie, that would still make it a bit weird to me... Β Maybe it's just the fact that Thor's ego wouldn't be expressed because Valkeries are trained to be a loyal and rule-abiding unit. Thor is...well, stubborn, rebellious, and mostly loyal, just a little selfish in the first movie, I thought. You just can't make another Thor movie with different casting and expect it to do just as good.Β

I don't think they make a movie about the new Thor. It is "just" a new series and it's better to not call her lady Thor because lady Thor is someone else and this is very confusing because I won't call her Thor ... she is not Thor! ;.;
and I don't think they are going to genderbent everyone it is just Thor being replace by a woman. So it's not him becoming a her. It's him becoming nobody and a woman who appears and gets the power of Thor.
