Kenneth doesn't really play any major role in the stories, in the first arc he plays the dude in distress after Xavier Kidnaps him.
Until the very end of the first arc he is a tree *See Hannah's backstory* so he doesn't really do much. Xavier is able to reverse his curse and give him back a human form, so that he can play his saxophone again. He becomes a very hippieish character after his time as a tree. He also appears alongside Hannah in the end of the second arc and we do get to see his hell in the third arc.
