There was some time a small Finnish, fan made downloadable game, named "Mörköpeli". It is not there anymore, but some Finnish youtubers made fun playing videos about it. I got so many laughs while watching them.Moomins are very popular thing in Finland and my own childhood favourite character happened to be this brown, big eared Nipsu (Sniff). My current fave is Mörkö (Groke) herself. Holy hell she traumatised so many kids who happened to see her in the Moomins animation series.

I screamed when I saw the thumbnail. And I screamed with fear. The Groke (or Morran as she is called in swedish) Is one of my childhood traumas. I still can't stand to see her! I was rewatching the series not so long ago and the episode that she is introduced came up. "I will watch it! I'm going to do it!" And as soon as she was getting on screen, I looked down. I couldn't do it. All of my friends knows about this! So they have prankt me so many times by using her. My sister bought a groke plush when we was sharing a flat. And that fucking plush was everywhere. In my closet, under my bed, and once in my bag. That I opened. In public. And scared so many by my scream. There is even a vid up on youtube of a stream I was on where a friend drew her without my knowing and then put the drawing infront of me. Screams and tears.

And I bet that sucks for the Groke too, because she's like that "ugly girl" of school which everyone is running from and being used as a scare of others.
Oh well. At least in the last moomin books she got an actual friend from Moomintroll himself.

Just toissa päivänä sain tietää että tämmöinen peli on olemassa kun katselin suomalaisia youtubettajia. Hyi helvetti kun traumat nousi pintaa mutta hauskaa oli katsoa kuinka pelaajilla tuli housuille pelatessaan! Ihan parasta!

Funny thing about this, I remmember back in school I was talking with my teacher and a couple of class mates about video games and mentioned that I had an idea about a horror game that would have the Groke chasing you. This was when the Slender like games started to become popular on youtube I think, maybe some other horror game possibly. I should have known that someone had the same idea and actully did make it a reality...much to my...ahem...dissatisfaction...I was only joking when I suggested the game many years back.
Still get the goosebumps...and chills(not a pun) when I see that smile of hers.

Whoa nice, you got the same idea? Actually no wonder, the thought of the Groke in Slender-like game is spot on. Friggin' booger lady who always knows where you are and come to get you with her cold hands.

It positively horrified me that so many children never got to watch this and be dazzled and also get traumatized, as is the natural order of things. I'm glad I grew up in one of the countries outside Finland that were blessed with this cartoon

The fact it was a fan-made effort, I could see why "Moomin Characters Oy" would go after them. I suppose had they asked first, it might've been interesting to see what the company would've thought if they wanted to do such a game as well.

Voi helvetti menit herättämään lapsuudentraumat. Oot kyllä aidon näkösen saanu tehtyä. Nipsuki näyttää niin omalta itteltään vaikka onkin vierasta nähdä se pyssy kädessä

We used to get runs of this show in Mexico when I was a kid. Groke always scared me but I would always love to watch it anyway.
