well for personal designs, i usually only make them if i see a dog that insprired me or some music or movie or something
for commissions/trades, i'll look up photos of the dog breed they wanted or if they didn't say, just some cool ones.Β
i normally eyedropper off photos, sometimes a dog photo or something totally random that i like the colors of
around 30 minutes, but sometimes longer bc i start over until i like it
