Absolutely stunning! It's really unique, I've never seen a black and white photo with this much interest for me...she just looks so thoughtful, and the lighting is so perfect...really amazing job!

It looks to me like she's all ready to be picked up for a date, and the time is here - is he just a few moments late, or will it be more like ten or twenty minutes late? Will he really show?
As many have already said, I like the lighting a lot, here. If I ever tried to take a shot like that, her face would be way too dark to make out anything at all, and the light from the window would be so bright it'd be taking over half the picture. Of course . . . that's because I'm a terrible photographer.

Perhaps, perhaps, but my initial attempts didn't hold my interest. Photoshop is, so I photoshop things. Right now I'm trying to do a half-believable iris from scratch, and though it's hard to make it believable, it's improving - to my surprise!
One thing I've learned is that it's just as important to know what you're capable of sticking with from the beginning, as it is to actually commit to sticking with it.
