Levi hear his now six year old daugher call as you ran into living room he placed the book he was currently reading on the coffee table before picking you up and placing you on his lap ''What is it (Y/N)?'' he watched as you excitedly pulled out your scrapbook ''Look what me did today'' Levi had began to teach you English when he first adopted you after two years you were almost nearly fluent apart from the odd mistake in pronunciation or translation but it was enough for him to finally have a conversation with you without the use of the translator.

Proudly you showed him the work you had done, recently you had started Kindergarten and was making huge progress in your English skills in all areas. ''Good job'' Levi ruffled your hair causing you to giggle the corner of his lips twitched upwards ''Nee, papa Levi?'' he hummed to show he was listening ''Can you read to me?'' Levi stood up shifting you in his arms he made his way to the library, his house being rather large he had one of his rooms that had bookcases that reached from floor to ceiling each one being full it was (Y/N) favourite room whenever he couldn't find you his first destination would be the library and uou was always guaranteed to be there.

''What do you want to read?'' you pondered for a moment your large (E/C) eyes scanning the books before pulling one from the case Levi wasn't surprised in the slightest when you pulled ''The Hound of the Baskervilles'' by Arthur Conan Doyle ever since he had told you about his job you had become obsessed with stories about detectives; Sherlock Holmes being you favourite. ''This book is a little scary (Y/N)'' he was worried about reading it to you especially with it being about a demonic dog that murders people ''But papa Levi we read Edgar Allan Poe all the time'' he sighed ''Good point''

Levi had stopped reading once he saw that you had fallen asleep he carefully carried you to your bedroom, changing you into your nightwear before tucking you into bed he switched the night light the room a (F/C) glow filled the room. He brushed the bangs from your sleeping form before kissing his daughter's forehead ''Goodnight''

The next morning wasn't going as smooth as Levi had hoped since you only attended Kindergarten three days a week he had to get you a babysitter for the other two but today his babysitter had called in sick and he couldn't find a replacement so it came down to the last thing he wanted to do - he would have to bring you to work with him.

''Nee, papa Levi? Does this mean I be Sherlock Holmes?!'' Levi watched as your eyes filled with excitement as he buckled you in he ruffled your hair he nodded ''That means you Doctor Watson!'' Levi couldn't help but smile as his daughter grew more excited as they got closer to station. ''Now (Y/n) I need you to hold my hand and not run off, okay?'' you nodded your head and placed your smaller hand in your fathers when you both walked inside Levi was greeted by confused glances and squeals from females he grumbled curses under his breath so that you wouldn't hear.

''Levi, you're-'' Levi came face to face (or in Levi's case face to chest) with his boss Erwin ''Listen, eyebrows the babysitter canceled and I couldn't find a replacement in time so I had to bring her to work with me'' Erwin glanced down at you, the smile that you give him makes the man crumble he kneels to your level ruffling your hair ''It's good to see you, (Y/N)'' you giggle ''Uncle Erwin! I get to be Sherlock Holmes today!'' Erwin chuckled at your enthusiasm ''Look after her, Levi'' he stood and left.

A frantic running could be heard behind him just as he was about to turn around the feeling of your hand leaving his caused the man to panic he snapped his head to the left ''Shi- GLASSES!'' Hanji's high pitched laugh filled the room as she span with you in her arms as soon as she stop Levi was there to remove you from her arms ''Levi~'' she whined ''Get back to work'' Hani faked pouted ''I'll be back later (Y/N)!'' you gave her a wave as she walked away before buying your face into the crook of Levi's neck ''Dizzy'' you mumbled.

Levi placed you on the couch in his office he knelt in front of you ''Now papa has to work so I need you sit and be good, okay?'' you nod and grab your backpack before coming Levi made sure to pack different items to keep you preoccupied throughout the day from. You pulled out your pencils and sketchbook.

Levi was busy working on a case that had wracked his brain for weeks a group of bandits that called themselves 'The Titans' were pulling a string of attacks around the city leaving behind no trace they had the culprits in custody but none would give up the identity of the leader. The only think Levi had to go on was a decrypted message that made no fucking sense.

He had been staring at the message for two hours now and he was bored out of his mind he glanced over to you - you were currently reading if he was bored then it was most likely that you were bored as well so Levi decided to make a game of the situation ''Hey Sherlock'' you turned to him with a smile ''Yes, Watson?'' he motioned for you to come over to him you book the book down you was reading and happily made your way towards him, Levi picked you up and placed you on his lap.

''What do you make of this, Holmes?''

''It seems to be a scrambled message, my dear Watson'' you giggled and Levi placed his chin on your head ''Do you think you can solve it?''

''Of course, I am Sherlock Holmes after all!'' he watched as you picked up a pen and a blank piece of paper as you were working on that Levi started to work on the statements from the ones in custody. Half an hour later your voice filled the deadly quiet room ''I've finished Watson!'' he looked away from the paper he was reading to look at your 'work' when his eyes nearly fell out of his sockets.

Levi wanted to face plant the desk he had been a detective now for almost ten years he had a huge reputation of being able to solve any case that came his way the ability to be able to find evidence and crack even the hardest of puzzles - that reputation now hung in the balance because of game he created.

''Hey, Sherlock how did you figure this out?''

''Well, each time you come across a vowel you move the letter next to it two spaces to the right, Watson'' Yeah, Levi was ready to say goodbye to his reputation Levi's hand came into contact with his face in one of the biggest facepalms ever in history you giggled at his actions ''Now now, my dear Watson I can say that you did it all by yourself'' - Yup, his pride had just been damaged.

''Nee, Watson? Is this Mr Johnson like Moriarty?'' Levi nodded ''Yes, he is a bad man'' she jumped off his lap ''Come on Watson we need to tell Lestrade!'' she pulled on his arm he sighed a stood up allowing you to drag him along ''I think we read way to much Sherlock Holmes''

She barged into Erwins office ''Lestrade! Myself and Watson have cracked the code to the message, we need to go and catch Moriarty!'' Erwin looked at Levi questionable in return Levi shook his head ''Don't ask''

''(Y/N) what-''

''No no I'm not (Y/N) I'm Sherlock Holmes for today!'' Erwin narrowed his eyes at Levi - Erwin had previously spoken to him about this he claimed that books such as that were to scary for him to be reading to a six year old Levi held his hands up in defense it wasn't his fault that his daughter loved the books, Erwin would have a heart attack if he knew of the other books they read.

She slapped the paper down on Erwins desk ''This is Moriarty's location!''

Erwin had put together a team of police officers and sent them down to Wallsina and just like the message said Mr Johnson or in this case Moriarty was indeed there the club had been his hideout - the case was now closed and all thanks to a incredibly smart six year old and a grown man that was bored out of his skull.

''Good work on the case Sherlock''

''Complementary my dear Watson'' Levi picked up his daughter after a long day Erwin joined the pair as they began to walk ''I think you should bring her to work more often Watson''

''Yeah, I think I shall Lestrade''
