A los Alutonios en ese entonces se les consediraba como "soldados sacrificables", ya que los utilizaban a ellos primeros para desgastaral enemigo antes de usar sus propias tropas.
Los alutonios son destacables por la guerra de guerrillas en plena montañas, en sus tierras de origen.
