It's right up there with slowly turning a bandit into a porcupine one arrow at a time, and waiting between shots until you're hidden.Β "Must have been my imagination." Yeah.Β Just like that ballistic acupuncture.

I always do this to score extra gold right away. Good thing Morrowind shops aren't as picky about purchasing stolen items, unless they come from that particular store in question.

This makes me want to play morrowind right now, witch i can do because i have the game! But it crashes on me sometimes and its annoying, Isriana what do you think of the ability to wear steel armour on one arm and have the other arm unarmored? And they say skyrim is the best medieval RPG in the world, They are SO wrong.

You know, when i was playing in skyrim,i needed some ingredients for my potions
i sneaked and stole some that was on display in a store
fast forward few days later,i was lacking some gold and apparently the owner sent some hired thugs to 'teach me a lesson',and she DID pay the 3 thugs 130+ gold per person...
Its kinda ironic that the 'lesson' she tried to teach only made me want for more thugs
And thus more stealing

I allways HATED that you didn't knew if you could just take the items or if it ended up stealing (some town lets you take things from crates and others don't)

Morrowind, where taking everything that's not nailed down is not a choice, it's an imperative. How else are you gunna afford any armour or weapons at the prices these merchants charge?

How? i mean Seyda Neen is a safe haven and there are no enemys, did you resist arrest after you talked to the second guard or something?

It was my very first time playing any Elder Scrolls game. I went into that trader shop wanting to buy a weapon. I had no idea how the barter system worked, and just picked up a staff off the table. I was immediately attacked and killed. I was sitting there, staring at my computer shocked, confused, and a little embarrassed. Had to restart the entire game because I had not saved. I can laugh about it now.

Yeah, the lesson you learn in TES "you may look but you cant touch" in morrowind you steal a bowl its death. Atleast in cyrodiil you get arrested.

Its funny, me and a friend at school kinda argue over the lunch table about skyrim being the best medieval RPG because of its customization and realism, all i have to say to that is in morrowind you can wear nothing but greavs, boots, and armor over one arm. In oblivion you can customize your dude, or dudette's face to your hearts content. Skyrim has NEITHER of those customization abilities. so who wins? A: Skyrim or B: Morrowind and Oblivion?

T-Man13 In reply to EndorTheDarkThief [2015-04-18 19:23:25 +0000 UTC]
Hmm. Which would be the best medieval rpg? That is a good question. Well, Morrowind does lack the customization option for the character's face. You pick from what they give you. However in Morrowind, you are more free to dress the way you want. Skyrim's armor covers the entire body, chest, arms and legs. Morrowind lets you have those options individually with the addition of shoulder armor if I remember right.
But Oblivion and Skyrim had the NPCs talk to you when they answered your questions, which really helps build the immersive realism. And Morrowind doesn't have fast travel, which means you can't just skip the travel time, and that definitely adds to the realism in my opinion. Another thing is the feeling of the setting. In my opinion, Oblivion's atmosphere and setting feels more medieval to me. The architecture of Cyrodiil has that right look to it. Morrowind feels more fantasy like, and I never got a medieval feel from Skyrim at all. I guess it's hard to really judge since all three games have their own good points. It really comes down to personal opinion. I would have to say Oblivion just barely feels more medieval than the other two. Sorry for the long text.Β

In the Morrowind guide, in the beginning they remark on how this was actually intended for you to take it all, lol. Of course I guess that was kind of obvious considering you get tutorial tips on the potion, dagger, and lock pick.

Let's randomly release prisoners from the dungeons and turn our backs on them. What could possibly go wrong? I absolutely love how he had that bubbly smile on his face the entire time. I bet he and Bron would like each other.

I love this!!! Β Take everything! Β Walk slowly to the first merchant, it's not far!!! Dang, I really miss not needing fence to sell stolen goods. Β (And being a total klepto) Β All you had to do was make sure of was to not sell stolen goods back to the same merchant you just stole from. Β Instead sell them the funny yellow hat. Β They always put it on and look stupid.Β Β
