-So you'd prefer he walk around completely unarmed, when soldiers are attacked all the time there? The kids don't look upset, the soldier seems well-tempered and friendly, and just because he has a gun, everyone is flaming him. So many conspriators with WEAPONS have been found there, the second we leave, we are just waiting for a second 9/11, and all the citizens whine about it. My own country is seeming more suicidal by the second, that or just stupid or ignorant to what people are like. Great snapshot, good to see the kids are happy for most part, and the soldier doing his job^^

They just have the bad luck of having the some of the shitiest tribalistic muslim savages on the planet for parents. Simple. No civilization = poverty, diseases, hunger, violence. It was never different in Afghanistan if there are no outsiders to fight they murder each other just the same. It is that way since muslim conquest and will most likely remain that way unless somebody manages to take their weapons (next to impossible) or kill them all.

Could/should be into photojournalism as well?
A bit too much digital grain/noise for me but again right place, right moment. Good job.

This is one of the best Journalistic Photograph I've seen since a long time! The emotion and the story inside it make it very special. unfortunately it has bad quality, but the content is most important!
