Description
Our Halloween costumes (or rather day before Halloween costumes). I threw together a Theelin jedi costume and CloakedandMasked was a random sith lord the day of from all of our other sith and jedi costumes. My good friend took this picture when we weren't paying attention and it ended up looking like a jedi-sith affair.Shopped in a quick Coruscant background. Please excuse my crappy photoshop skills, I claim no expertise in that area. At all, period.

Love it! Putting the background in really makes it look like it's from the movies. (And having the background be so far in the, er, background means that you don't have to worry about light sources looking off! Huzzah! Your little smile makes it look like, even if it is a Jedi-Sith tryst, she's truly happy with it and it's healthy, and that's....refreshing and unusual to see. Cool idea to do a Theelin Jedi costume too! The blue markings look excellent. Do you have horns under the hair? (Do most Theelins, or am I just remembering wrong?)

You're welcome. ^_^ Oh right! I remember about the incompatibility-with-themselves thing. (It's both funny and sad put that way.) I wrote a Theelin/Twi'lek cross once, duh!

How did you make the horns?

I made horns with crayola model magic then attached them with spirit gum. It's this crazy foam clay stuff. It's really light weight and easy to work with. My only complaint is that it does not hold small detail very well and that it is a tad fragile - not for large items. I might make some out of latex eventually...but the model magic ones did so well at DragonCon all day that I don't think I want to switch them.

She was mostly white-skinned, with bright coloring--green, blue, purple-- around the ends of her lekku and on her cheeks and the base of the lekku.

Sounds awesome! Did you ever draw her? I went poking through your gallery trying to find her, but with no success
Tip for Zabraak horns: "sculpy" (polymer clay) makes great zabraak horns for just a few bucks. To keep them on just stuff a bobby pin or two into the base of each before you bake them. They can be painted with pretty much any paint, acrylic works just fine. If you want to get really fancy you can french braid your hair around each horn and it looks really neat. Hairspray will be your best friend. Lots of hairspray.
