Description
Originally I made the vector for my friend, because i like his style making wallies... but after finish it and not response for some time, i decided to make my own for my own desktop...This it isn't part of the sekirei calendar, but more like a cover...
Well, I made her and the ice in Illustrator CS3, as well she is the Sekirei without number named Akitsu from the manga Sekirei.

If you traslate, maens something like that: "Remain with me, please do not wake me... Since the winter goes..."

Very rarely does one find ice made in photoshop created so beautifully. The coloured hints and highlights are well done, perfectly setting the mood for this piece.
Even though she isn't part of the main cast, she is one of my favorite characters; something about her situation just tugs at one's heartstrings.
Is there any change you could share our techniques on creating ice as you have done here? Or at the very least, send a link where you yourself learned this?

Thanks for your comment... actually, like you said... there's nothing about this technique, i didn't understand why this technique no exist as tutorial... But, actually the technique is rather simple itself to do...
> I'm only use as reference a nice crystal of amathyst (surfing the internet) > copy the contours of that quartz > fill with some different blue colors those contours (you can copy some colors from a photo with an iceberg) > then play with the layers efx's (maybe use screen, highlights and multiply as efx's) > after you finished that... make a carpet put all in that carpet and do three copies of that... > then the copies make them flat (Ctrl+E) > apply to those layers a incrementing blur with the "gaussian blur" filter, like 5, 9 and 21... > in this part you have to put more feeling to the ice... use the smudge tool to make them cool... > now you have a a nice and cool ice... maybe you can play with some efx's,and filters to meke them more real...
