Continuing with my holiday photos from Bieszczady Mountains. The non- or barely-existent villages we visited saw their denizens either killed or expelled by the Ukrainian Insurgent Army or resettled under akcja "Wisła" (which translates as "operation Vistula") en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operatio… .These villages are literally in the middle of nowhere,surrounded by mountains,usually there's only a dirt road leading to or near them.In 2004 there were 3 people still living in Hulskie.
