I don t think about those two
I think it s about m'y technique. I don t know how to have thé same effet
If i compare my drawing and jours i think jour have two things i don t have
Perfect Line art and beautifull color , mine are basic

I never really do lineart though
but yeah ... defining shape is necessary
I now use grids so it gets a bit easy
for colors, well use basic color and mix them to make other colors
I use a 24 shade color pencils but I only use like 5-6 colors and mix them to make other colors
by doing this method, you have to color many colors on top of another color ... so the color gets rich and pops out (and you don't see papers noise/roughness)
I hope you find a suitable method for you too, man
just try what you feel like ... don't be afraid to fail (and don't find methods from other people ... draw yourself and find your own way of drawing)
I also looked at tutorials in the past .... but when I started drawing ... after some time ... I started feeling "oh I should do this" ... "oh I should also use that color on top" .... and slowly slowly I advanced in traditional art
(I still can't draw anything without a reference pic .... which sucks

i wanted to have a sky with some black and pink color
the pink is for the cloud in night
the color is light
and i don t succeed to mix the black and the pink to have this effect
this is the most difficult i have when i color i don t know how to make some complicate effect
i can do easily the shading with one color but mix two to have a particular effect i don t know how

ok ... any color on black background is super difficult
maybe color the sky with black pencil first (medium pressure)
then color pink ... so it may not be much popping out and fit in the pic
80%pressure for black then full pressure for pink
I do a lot of layering so mixing is the easiest part for me .. I can't fill color in large areas
break the color in basic colors
I'm bad at naming colors so when I have to draw something (let's say my Ultron drawing)
the original color of ultron is dull .... I didn't know how to make that color
so I did simple breakdown of colors
Ultron's color in my drawing is sky blue + grey +turquoise + soft black
and that is way off from original color of Ultron ... but it fits

color mixing with black is always difficult
