It was 7:54 A.M. when Konan lazily blinked open her green eyes to the sound of a light knock on her bedroom door.

"Konan?"A voice sounded.

"Hmm, what, who is it?"She asked half asleep.

She sat up and rubbed her eyes.

"What do you want?"She snapped, finally fully awake.

"Leader-Sama needs you."The voice calmly reported.

'What could he possibly want?'

"Alright, Tell him I'll be down in a few minutes."Konan ordered.

With that, she heard silent footseps continue down the narrow hallway outside the door.

Konan sighed.

She fell backwards onto her back and let her eyes trace the bare ceiling above.

She let her eyes close slowly and relaxed, that is until she heard a argument downstairs.

"What the hell do you know?!You stupid brat!"

"At least I don't sit in my confined room all day and play with dolls, un!"

Konan noticed the similar voices of Deidara and Sasori.

'What could they be possibly be arguing about now?'

'Well, I guess I should be getting ready.Who knows what Pein has in mind for me.

Konan threw the covers off her and jumped out of bed, heading for the shower.

She flicked the switch to the light on as she entered.

"Get off of me, brat!!"

"No, un!"

Deidara had Sasori pinned on the floor with both of his wooden hands above his head.

"That's it!You asked for it, brat!"

"I'm not a brat, un!"Deidara snapped back.

Sasori called apon his puppet Hiruko with chakra strings attached to his wooden finger tips.The puppet came forward with it's venomous tail swinging in the air, coming directly at Deidara.

"Shi-"The artist was cut off by Hiruko's tail jabbing him in the back.

"You bastard!"Deidara spat in Sasori's face.

"I warned you, br-"

"Don't you dare finish that sentence!Or else I'll fucking blow you up!"

"Ooooh, I'm so scared.Someone help me."Sasori teased.

"You're dead, un!"

Deidara let go of one of Sasori's hands and pulled out a kunai out of his pocket.

"Gasp!What are you going to do with that?"Sasori continuously teased.

Deidara gripped the kunai hard and let the silver on the kunai reflect Sasori's face back at him.

"You really are clueless, brat."

Sasori made Hiruko jab the tail in farther.

Deidara yelped in pain, watching the blood trickle down his neck from the new wound on his back.

"Ughh, fine I give up you bastard!"Deidara surrendered noticing now that he was the one pinned down.

Sasori smiled in delight.He hadn't hurt Deidara horribly and never did.Just enough to warn the blonde to never play games with him, like this.

Sasori drew Hiruko's tail out of Deidara's back and backed off of him.

"You should really think before you act, brat."He warned.

"Fuck you, un!"Deidara looked up with flaming eyes, throwing up his middle finger.

"Whatever, brat."Sasori simply said as he walked away.

Konan walked down the hallway to Pein's office.

She opened the door and walked in, unlike other Akatsuki members who were expected to knock before.

"You needed me?"She asked.

She eyed Pein as he wrote things down on papers and filled things out none-stop.

"Yes."He answered in his calm, soothing voice, still continuing writing things down.

Konan just relaxed at hearing it.

"Konan."He began.

"Yes, Pein?"

"I need you to come on a mission with me."

"To where?"She questioned surprised.

"To the Mist village."He answered, looking up making eye contact with Konan.

Konan stared deeply into his red eyes, searching for the certain loving look he would rarely give her, but it wasn't there.

Konan bowed her head.

"May I ask why?"She said, looking down at her feet.

"We need to search for a certain item, called the "Blue Crystal."

Pein stopped writing and held up a brief picture.

Konan eyed it closely.

"Itachi and Kisame will also be attending the mission for Kisame knows the secret routes and trailes we can take to axcess the village easily without anyone noticing."

Konan nodded in a understanding way.

"When will we be leaving?"

"We'll be leaving shortly after a week from now.At 4:00 in the morning.I expect us to arrive 2 days after leaving in the evening.From there, we will wait until nightfall to enter."

Pein set the picture down.

"Do you undertsand?"He asked.

"Understood!"Konan bowed.

"Itachi and Kisame have already been noticed about the mission."

"Sleep well and train properly until then.You will need it."He added.

"Hai!"

"Konan, you don't have to be so proper with me."Pein smiled.

Konan blushed, keeping her head bowed so he couldn't see.

"P-p-Proper?I-I'm not being proper, just respectful, that's all.You are the leader of Akatsuki."

"Konan, look at me."His voice seemed to be more soothing and relaxed now.

Konan straightened up slowly, trying to rid the blush from her pale cheeks.

"I'm sorry..."She mumbled as she blushed even more.

"I-I-I....i-it's...j-just you-"

"Konan, you don't have to apologize."Pein smiled more, noticing Konan's blush.

"No!I-it's not like that!"Konan assured.

"You're dismissed."

"H-hai!"

With that, Konan disappeared in a poof of smoke.

Pein chuckled.
