I played it... and the "extra verse"... still haven't defeated that boss yet (Not saying whom for spoilers but I'm always so close. It's infuriating so I need a break.)
God, Ignis is a beast (and batman. lol) but storywise, I still like Prompto's more but Iggy's hits you hard on the feels.
Honestly, I always felt Iggy was more of a mom of the bros so I never really shipped IgNoct... but after playing this... I've sort of been more convinced. lol
