Ah, this took quite a while to paint... but it was all worth it. Ludwig, this is for you....

I had so much trouble trying to find out what I truly wanted to express in my painting for you... I know that this is the second painting I've given you, but I wanted it to mean something. The first was a confession of love, the second is a gift of thanks.

Because right now, you mean more to me than anything, after all you've given me. You've given me hope, the light to guide me to find myself again. And for that, I felt you deserved something special, something that couldn't be expressed through my words. Words can only do so much...

I hope your birthday is the best that you've ever had- for your happiness is all-too important to me.
