The colour harmony and the aged effect they create is beautiful, not to forget the composition and how it creates a sense of leaving. Combined with your words it feels like this leaving person is listening the other in the kitchen and then backs off, takes his/her baggage and leaves. A very quiet slam of the door and yet it lingers in the air for a very long time.
