Trying to make Wonderbolt haircuts not look identical is what keeps me up at night

Misty Fly and Blaze met during the start of Wonderbolt training, joining as cadets along with ponies like Soarin, Fleetfoot, and Sightseer. They rose in the ranks from trainees to members rather quickly, with plenty of eventful moments before they became full-fledged fliers for the team. Everyone knew Blaze and Fleetfoot were seeing each other during training, as they regularly showed off around others. Blaze was an absolute ham for any camera nearby, loving nothing more than ponies adoring her. Some trainees thought that her real reason for dating Fleetfoot was simply to make herself look better, and it was all but confirmed when they split. Realizing that she didn't want to be pinned down in a relationship, Blaze broke it off with Fleetfoot, making her believe that not being together was best for the team to avoid drama, before immediately going on dates with multiple die-hard fans. Everyone saw Fleetfoot absolutely devastated and Blaze unfazed, which seemed to sway teammates' opinions of how they viewed her not as a flier, but as a pony.

Time passed and everyone eventually forgot about the team drama that Blaze claimed she was trying to avoid in the first place. Blaze was clearly full of herself, and Misty Fly was thrill-seeking and confident, making the two a pretty good pair when it came to partner work and weekly training. As with most of the flight teams (and any pony with enough popularity), fans started to make it clear that they shipped Misty Fly and Blaze, especially when Blaze started flirting with Misty to keep fans interested. Misty was well aware of how the fans felt, usually having no issue playing along with Blaze in good fun. Ponies ate it up, making them the talk of the team.

Once Blaze was interesting in making their relationship real, Misty quickly shut her down (to everyone's shock). Knowing about Blaze and Fleetfoot's past relationship, Misty Fly wanted her to admit that her reasoning for breaking up with Fleet was a terrible excuse for her to be selfish, when she could have easily been honest about how she was feeling. It took forever, thanks to Blaze's stubborn behavior, but she eventually knew that Misty was right about the whole situation, even if she didn't want to admit it, and started to mend her relationship with Fleetfoot. Misty was very encouraging, willing to help whenever Blaze needed a little push in the right direction.

Once it seemed genuine that Blaze wanted to be with her, Misty was more than happy to make their relationship romantic. They kept it fluffy and cute for the fans, but other than that stayed professional, just like Fleetfoot and Sightseer. The two showed their love through racing, rough-housing, and being nearly as competitive in their relationship as they were at their jobs. The two ended up discovering they were pregnant after Blaze thought she had been sick with the flu for weeks. They hadn't planned on having a foal, but immediately took to the idea, especially after they felt the baby kick through Blaze's belly. Blaze and Misty Fly were very proud parents, usually showing off their little filly in a "look what I made" way. As Daredevil grew up, it was very clear that she would have a very similar personality to her mothers, acting arrogant and interested in danger from a young age, loving being the center of attention.
