Description A few days ago, I was thinking about why I always preferred anti-heroes to super-heroes, but I couldn't remember a very clear reason. One thing I've always remembered is that super-heroes often fight to defend an unfair and unequal world, but I think that might be a bit of a poor and reduccionist explanation.

Maybe it's because from my early age Conan stories taught me that imperfection, unpredictability and ambiguity are what make us truly human. So how can someone who hides their smallest actions and feelings be trustworthy? Of course, only animals completely obey their instincts, and when a man who completely surrenders to them, he can transform the world into pure barbarism, but I don't consider it the best form of character to hide everything that each of us has within, because it is often in the light of history, that those who use performances rather than honesty to build trust, or promise "salvation" and deliver another thing.
Nowadays I see more and more truth in that phrase who says something like this:
What a poor people, who need heroes.
