i think the bottom half seems more matt gun-metal grey/blue to me and the off-gold colour just makes me think as if its just been smelted.

This looks like a sunrise/set that isn't reflecting off the water. It's very beautiful but the unblendedness is throwing me off. But, if it's a study then I don't suppose it really needs to be blended...? I'm not a visual artist; I don't understand about these things.
