Ever since Gumball Cookie was taken in by Red Velvet, he’s had an instinctive connection to Cakeberus. Whether due to their equaling strengths or strong loyalty to the army. The three headed hound was confused when their master brought home this tiny creature. Their size a tiny cookie, yet they smelled like any hound. Despite their competitive nature, Cakeberus can be rather nurturing of the little hybrid they call a brother. The large cake is extremely protective of the young pup, keeping him safe day and night. Also making sure their little brother is well groomed, in spite of Gumball not appreciating it.

Despite starting as enemies, the two baked goods became as close as true brethren due to missions through thick and thin. Gumball hopes to take care of Strawberry Crepe as well as Cakeberus does to him.
