Took you three years to do this that took me two decades of near nonstop practice to draw how I draw today. I know what that looks like but it's not that. I don't look at things like this as improvement or progression. We're talking art and not science. Or to put it all short, art is subjective. It's not about me here, but you did change allot in the past three years by my art standards.
What I see here is the 2019 doodle just looks more anime than the 2018 doodle. Can't say much about that. I'm not an anime artist. But both much more complex works compared to 2017.
To finish this comment from last night before sleep, you did improve allot on complexity of craftsmanship in a short amount of time and that's impressive. That's what I was trying to say last night half asleep.

I've tried traditional and digital art,experimented with artstyles and found something that i'm comfortable with,resulting in the 2019 one looking more anime
in my opinion my art could've improved much more,but i feel like every artist views their work worse than it actually is so idk how far or close I am to being a professional
