The 2012 landscape calendar is now available . Check it out!"What?" Grabbed my boots and ventured into the swamp for a much closer look. This owl seemed more awake, and was not scared at all.
Wish I could adopt this owl, cause it's freaking awesome.
Location: Boundary Bay, Delta, Beautiful British Columbia.
Equipment: Nikon D90 + Tamron 200-400mm f/5.6.
Technique: Photoshop CS5 from 1 RAW.

You're welcome! I just made a trip to see my first Snowy. I didn't get this close, but still got better looks than expected at an adult male. They are beautiful birds!

this photo is precious! i have never seen an actual owl look so expressive, and they are quite the characters. i adore the colors in the shot so much as well. the colors of the bird mixed with the background and the stump baby boy is posted up on is so yummy i just want to wear em in a dress! and i love that you can see all the lil hairs around his enchanting eyes. it's a really cool shot and so cute all at the same time! i love it.
