fantastic piece Ivanna, really nice seeing some of your original pieces up in the group as opposed to just your color work - really showcases exactly what you can do, and that you're not just a colorist extraordinaire. I really dig the selection of characters, for some reason the choice seems a lot more menacing that the easy option He-Man characters. What I love about this is the way you've got a great range of zombie 'poses' and each one has a varying degree of decomposition (sorceress looking a bit more of a recent cadaver while she-ra is half way gone) the wounds and missing limbs on she ra are really well executed, and the overall choice of colors give it great depth and a dose of realism.
The blurred out corpse in the foreground set things up well but I think my favorite thing about the whole piece is the flesh wounds on Teela. Those just look nasty. That's kind of how a zombie should be and the colors really look rotten.
Love how you paint sky backdrops. Really has that old school Eternia feel from the back of the toy packages. Nice touch with the sword in the piece too.
All around wicked piece that's going to be a beast to beat this round. Elegance and decomposition. Somehow you've got it all flowing this week, anatomy, layout, colors, detail, poses, creativity.
This week you really brought the power of greyskull.

Thank you very much! I tried a lot of ideas for this until this one just worked. But as I'm not used to paint from scratch, I had a lot of fun changing and fixing and experimenting.
