Dune is an obsession of mine since my high school years. I've been revisiting the books almost every year,and this is my last attempt to illustrate one of the iconic scenes and characters from Herbert's opus magnum.

Love the depth of scale and lighting here; the way the globe is illuminated it such a stark contract to the dark background that it immediately draws your eye outward to see what else the painting has to show. Well done and congrats on your fantastic DD!

Possibly the best illustration I have seen of this particular scene. Nice contrast between the Baron's bloated form and the globe's fine craftsmanship and symetry.
