I wonder, when did you officially retire the ASA concept? I guess early-2016, because there is a VULPINE group and a Guardians of Equestria group, but you either deleted the group for this or it never had a group.

Nope never made a group for it. ASA was retiered in late 2015. Basically when no one noticed it i figured no one would want to see it come to fruition. Then i got into mlp and created the guardians of equestria wich did ok, but i didn't want to create a universe based off another show. Then i was going to revive the ASA with an updated drawing style and tye it more to star trek but i decided ageinst it for the smae reason as Guardians of Equestria. Then i figured, "why not build the world based around the original characters i had designed when i first joined the furry fandom. They were ment to be a Seal Six type group and that could be very popular with the recent release of Zootopia and millitary based statagy combat games. So i pulled out my old designs and drew up some new ones for a more modern age and bingo! VULPINE was born.

Ah.  Nice to know more about your universe's development history after I showed you the 9-year clusterfuck that is mine.

Speaking of military based strategy combat games (although on a much larger scale), have you ever heard of the Paradox grand strategy series? It has 5 major games: Crusader Kings (currently II, ~700-1453), Europa Universalis (currently IV, 1444-1821), Victoria (currently II, 1836-1936), Hearts of Iron (currently IV, 1936-whenever, though becomes unrealistic after ~1955), and Stellaris (first game, ~2200-2700). The most "military" of the games is Hearts of Iron, as you'd expect, and it has a large modding community, with one of the most prolific mods being Kaiserreich—a mod that ponders a scenario where Imperial Germany won WWI.

If you're interested in that type of stuff at all and, I dunno, a meteor strikes the academic buildings of your college, then I highly suggest you check them out.

I find it interesting how some of these characters were eventually repurposed, but most have been forgotten.

Although, might I ask, what was the starship going to look like?

Actually not true just about all of them have a place in my new world just most havent gone public yet. Like Prat Stevens, the raptor in the Anthro Space Alliance, will be a bat in the VULPINE universe, he will be joined by Mark the racoon.

As for the ship it was going to be a long cylindrical ovial like craft with a larg set of wings. I have a picture if you're interested.

Ouch, that impractical spacecraft design hit me like it was high-test peroxide ... I like it!

What space craft design? I haven't posed any images or mentioned the design of it? Me am confused.

Ohoho, what's this now? Another conversation concerning spacecraft design?

Well, if that's the case, sign me up! I'd love to discuss the designs among the both of you.

Nah... I could tell Iven had nothing more to add until he scans the documents. Though I do know that from a hard sci-fi perspective, a main habitat shaped like what he described would probably be inconvenient.

Yeah...

He actually showed the aforementioned designs to me, and they're definitely running on Star Trek levels of non-newtonian.

Even more so would be the "Divine-built Link Ship".

I'd like to see the ships, please.

You see, I was right about this conversation coming to starship designs.

Now then, even though they are not of my creation, and from a hard-physics view, what are your thoughts on them?

Jesus Christ, I'm not sure if Iven would approve me putting this directly in his comment section, so here . (Interesting, this is my first example of a "multistage" comment—there's another journal embedded in there.)

Also interesting: DeviantArt almost has its 750,000,000th deviation...

Hmm, yes. And I remember seeing you mention that one about survival at speeds mach 5+.

Y'know, reading through that almost makes me want you to analyze my works. I'd just have to remind you to look out for the fanart, there are a few that definitely aren't my original designs. (Like the Warhammer 40k stuff you've seen from me. There's also a few Elite: Dangerous sketches in there too.)

Sorry if I annoyed you.

When viewed from a soft perspective, these are really good! I actually think you should submit these to DA proper—just follow my example for all my old stuff that is depreciated or no longer worked on (AKA the vast majority of my current deviations ): Make sure the date at which it was created is clearly labeled, and clearly state how it is obsolete.

No im not annoyed dont worry it was more meant like a comedic "fine!" like a sitcom. No harm done.

And yeah, I've got alot of old art, character, and designs that i should dump onto DA. However some I'm debating cause i might use for my book but haven't refined them yet. But perhapse I'll do a throw back Thursday type deal within the comming weeks of my old art. Who knows

Ah yes, I had noticed you were asking for help on semi-rare anthro-species, and noted the mention of bats and how the digits and wings would work. I was only going off of what I had observed.

Hmm. Of course I'm interested. Although... maybe I could ask for more. You are open to requests, yes?

The-Combine-Engineer In reply to Iven-Furrpaw [2018-04-30 04:47:58 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, this is better suited as a request.

Anyways, I would like to see the various spacecraft that might be seen in your universe, such as the Divine's world ships. And the vessel that the crew in this image would have worked on. And maybe the dimensions like length, width, and height.

Alright, however the ASA ships are on paper and require me to scan them into a computer to get the best result, they are hyper detailed and a camera don't do then justice. The Divine link ship is digital though but i never figured out how big it is. I'll note you the link ship. The ASA ones when i get the chance sometime this week.
