This is the single most disturbing picture I have seen all week. Interestingly, what I find the most unsettling is not the skeletal face in the space suit, the horrific visage grinning at you from somewhere dark and cold. It isn't the crimson glow that floods your vision from the emergency lights in your helmet, as the life support alarm screams in your ears, a banshee wailing, shrieking the last moments of your life away. It is the way the grim and grinning spectre is positioned in the shot. It's body language suggests gravity where there is none, it's legs suggest ambulation where it simply isn't possible. THE NIGHTMARE IS WALKING TOWARDS YOU FROM THE COLD DARK OF SPACE, AND YOU CAN DO NOTHING BUT SIT THERE AND WATCH IT. Congratulations, you have created an image that may just haunt my dreams tonight. Masterfully done.

No thanks needed, just credit where it's due. I may have waxed a bit too poetic though. It was very late when I posted that.

OH GOODNESS, COULD YOU NOT? I adore the reference, but I did not need the flashback it triggered. Do you know that genuine feeling of unsettled nerves so intense that it clenches up the back of your jaw muscles like eating something sour? That is what this picture, and that accompanying quote gave me. But really, good reference. Spot on, in fact.
